Tabernacle Names Education Chief
ERMA — Tabernacle Methodist Church announces the addition of Robert J. Brown to its fulltime staff as director of Christian education. His duties will include coordination of curriculum and training in the Sunday School, the four youth groups within the church, the children's church and the bus ministry. He will also assist Rev. Paul 60 Couples In Renewal Of Vows ERMA — Bride and Groom Sunday was held June 22 at Tabernacle Methodist Church. Approximately 60 couples renewed their marriage vows as a part of the service. Each couples was invited to have their instant photo taken and mounted in a memento folder. Rev. Paul vander Loo chose as his sermon topic "Christian Wedlock is no Deadlock". The entire morning service was built around the morning theme, with appropriate music and sanctuary decorations. LIBERTY SUNDAY. July 6, had as its theme "A Light for our Nation," which used the idea of the renovation of the flame on the Statue of Liberty. The Gospelaires from Bridgeton were the special morning guests and presented two beautiful numbers appropriate to the morning theme. Uniformed Boy Scouts also participated in a procession of the colors, with the congregation pledging allegiance. Vacation Bible School will be held at Tabernacle Methodist July 21-25, with Mrs. Jean Naylor, director. Buses will be running, and there will be a full program of Bible study, songs, crafts and recreation. For more information, call the church office at 884-3574.
Bazaar Is Sat. AVALON - United Methodist Churchwomen plan their annual Baxaar and Rummage Sale Satur day at First United Methodist Church of Avalon, 34th Street and Dune Drive. Besides handcrafted, Christmas, white elephant, books, plants, furniture and other items, the event offers baked goods, homemade soups, chicken and potato salads, with a light lunch available in the parking lot. Church members and visitors will hear a sermon, "A New Land," during 8 and 11 a.m. services Sunday, held at those hours through July and August. A nursery will be provided at 11 a.m. only, Sunday School will be 9:45 a.m. Bible School will be Aug. 4-8 by Jane Narrigan; register early by calling her at 967-3837.

Hugh Dickinson, rector of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Lansdowne, Pa. will conduct services at St. Peter's by-the-Sea Episcopal church Sunday July 13. The holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. Sundays. A coffee and social hour follows each service. Nursery care for toddlers is available during the 10 o'clock Eucharist. The Episcopal Church Women meet each Monday noon for a workshop and meeting. Atlantic Mental Health Center in McKee City. Until his resignation the end of June, Brown was employed by Cape Human Resources, Court House, as a vocational counselor for disadvantaged youth. "Brown brings excellent credentials and background to this position, and will be a very positive addition to the church as a whole," Rev. vander Loo said. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are currently residents of Dennis ville. S. Seaville Camp Meet SOUTH SEAVILLE - The South Seaville Camp Meeting Association has announced the schedule of speakers and worship services for the 1986 season, its 123rd. The speakers will include Rev. William Reasner, former pastor of the Court House Methodist Church, now pastor of the Pitman United Methodist Church. July 13-17; Rev. Daniel Hulitt, pastor of the Tuckahoe and Leesburg United Methodist Chruches, July 18, and the Rev. David Bailey, Ranch Hope, July 21-25. THE EVENING services will include special music each night. July 19, the musical group "The Kindred Spirit" will present a program of Gospel music. Services are held in the church Tabernacle, located on the camp meeting grounds, each evening at 7:30. In addition to the evening services there will be a Bible study held for adults, children, and youth each morning at 9:30 a.m. Leading the adult Bible study will be Rev. Leonard Rowell and Rev. Allan Miller. The Camp Meeting is on Corson Tavern Road, one quarter mile west of the blinker light at Main Street.
