In Bequest to Freeholders on Tuesday Says Violent Prisoners Disturb the Entire Building
A requeat from Sheriff Robert 8. Miller to tbe Board of Freeholder* at their meeting at Court House on Tneaday, was for a padded ceil to be installsd in the County Jail to receive refractory prisoner* and insane person* who are placed in the Jail waiting removal to some other Institution. Tbe Sheriff states that tbe noise of each prisoners annoy* the entire '‘household,'’ keeping other priaonera, peaceably inclined, from sleep or rest of any kind. Tbe requeat waa referred the Public Buildings Committee, to report back at the next Board meeting. Tbe matter of ooumy advertising waa the subject for considerable diacnaaion, aince now that the money ba* been appropriated tbe Freeholders are facing tbe problem of bow to spend it to tbe best advantage.
