COUNTY MUST SEND SIXTEEN TO WAR.
Some interesting figures are presented by the New Jersey Recruiting Headquarters, at Newark, relative to the number of voluntary enlistments and the number that will be forced to serve under the conscription law from the various counties in the State. Under the voluntary enlistment system New Jersey furnished 63.6% of the total ascribed to it, and was seventeenth in the order of merit, of all the Slates, Nevada being the highest with 9403. The number yet to be supplied from Cape May County is sixteen. This means that unless there are sixteen voluntary enlistments in tbe Army from Cape May County before September, that number will be selected from the 1024 who registered on June
5th.
