Thla Is certainly the most wonderful summer I have ever experienced. We are on a high cliff, more than 200 feet above the sea and the air is delightful. It surely Is an Ideal place for a hospital. or hospitals 1 should say for there are five here. We are within '.'alklng distance of several small but picturesque town*, the closest of which I* at the foot of the cliff, and can be reached by uring either the steps or the Funlrulalre Of the first mentioned there arc- 365 broad concrete steps built alongside of the cliff. The Funlrulalre Is a railroad built on the rllK at about «n angle of 45 degrees. They charge ten centimes (one cent) to go down and 15 centimes to come up. Two cars are operated on cable*, a* one comes cp the other goes down. Needless to say the Funlculaire la used by our beys more than

The only drawback it has is that It stops running at 8.30 and our pa>.aes are good until nine, although we can get passes until 11 If we wish to go to the cinema or movies.
