TWO-TEN GAS FOR SEA ISLE CITY Public Utility Commission Grants Seashore Gas Company Increase From f ISO to $2.10 a Thousand. The New Jersey Public Utility Commission on Tuesday granted the Seashore Gas Company, which supplies Sea Isle City, an Increase in Its rate from $1.60 per thousand cubic feet to $2.10, the highest rate In the State. The application made by the Gaa Company was for an Increase to 12.50. The new schedule allows a discount of 10 cents per thousand If paid within 10 days after the receipt of the bilL The order also provides a monthly minimum bill of 21.50 to be made to all connected customers, as against the previous minimum of 21.00. A deposit of 210 Instead of 25.00 as heretofore. will be required from all but yearly customers, this deposit to be returned when service la discontinued. An Increase of approximately 2500 a year was also allowed on the City street lighting contract, nosing t from approximately 21800 a year to 22300. It Is understood that the City Commissioner* will contest this Increase In fixing the new schedule the Utlil- ' Commissioners figured that at the new rate* the Company should realise six percent dividend on the 210.300

BOXING BILL NOW A LAW. Governor Edge on Tuesday signed the boxing bill which permits eight round contests In this state w'lh eight ounce gloves and no decisions to be given. The club promoting contests must own its building and post 210,000 as a guarantee, which will be forfeited In case tbe law Is violated.
The Cape May County Board of Freeholders, at their regular meeting Cape May Court House on Tuesday. finally accepted the now famed Willis road from Rio Grande Into Wildwood. The Clerk read a communication from the bonding company of Contractor H. P. Willis, who abandoned the work, stating that they were ready to settle the claims of the County for the extra cost sustained In having the road completed, contracts rhich aggregated over 220,000. Tbe work, was attest'd by the Englnr as now being satisfactorily completed by tbe aub-contractors, and by resolution the road was accepted, pro-
visionally, for one year.
The bridge committee, reporting on the repair* needed at the Stone Harbor bridge, advised that bids be advertised lor. for the needed repair* to the under*tructurc, and for re-decklng. Under contract, the Stone Harbor Turnplk* Company was obliged to keep the bridge under*tructure In repair for a period of ten years, three of which are still to run. The committee if ported that the Turnpike Company was willing to make such repair* as would make the bridge safe for the three year* for which their cop*r*ct still holds good, but that the Committee thought that repairs of a mure permanent nature were needed, smi that the entire work had better be at once, the County and the Turnpike company to adjust the cost, between them. This waa agreed to, and the clerk waa ordered to adver-
tise for bids for the work.
On Thuisday a special meeting waa held to discuss ways and means of Insuring the completion of the Corson's Inlet Bridge for this summer, szni a resolution was adopted providing for change from the Steel Bascule draw, which It D Impossible to obtain, to a wooden draw, and changing the decking from the specified cedar to a yellow pine.
