Deserving of particular mention were the Gold Dust Twins, in life persons of Master Thos. E. T^udlam, -3d, and Ralston Miller, who presented a lifelike picture of the now fitmons piaaniuny twins. Blackened Irom the top of their hesds to the tip of their toes, and with no other covering than the burnt cotk and yellow skirts, tbe “Twins" provoked laughter and applause on all sides. Another humerons feature of the parade was a burlesque called the “War Baby,” Dr. E. A. Mongel, of Philadelphia, acting the none loo pleased baby and Mr. J. A. Stnugyr, of Philadelphia, the
stern nurse.
Nursie was pushing bpby in an express wagon and baby regis - tered its displeasure to the intense amusement of the spectators. The judges were Captain John Manr, Mr. Theo. Schaal, Mr. T. V. Farren, Mrs. E. L. Fetters, Mra. J. P. Garey, Mrs. W. B, McManus, Mis* B. Woertz, all of Philadelphia. The judges were located in three separate groups, apd each picked the winning numbers separately and then compared notes and agreed on the winners. The prizes were both beautiful and useful, and opinion is unanimous that the ladies of the Civic Club are deserving of great credit for their zeal and energy which made the parade possible. PART OF JUBILEE CELEBRATION Wednesday’s Baby Parade marked tbe opening of the four-day Peace Jubilee Celebration which will terminate Saturday night with a wonderful fireworks display in Venetian Park. Yesterday was given over to a shooting match off tbe Pier and the Jubilee Parade. Today (Friday) is Carnival D*y with a program of sports for the afternoon on the beach and a carnival to be staged on tbe boardwalk at night Saturday afternoon will be given over to Automobile Races and sports on the beach, followed by the fireworks display at 9.30 in the evening. The well known Municipal Band of Philadelphia lias been engaged and is giving public baud concerts twice daily. The prizes for the winners in the various contests are ou view at the pier entrance and cousin of beautiful silver caps, jewelry, etc.
