On last Sunday morning, people who were early protnenadere on the boardwalk aaw a ship come in dose to the shore and drop anchor at the upper end'of Sea lale. It was the subject of much conjecture, ••specially when a crew put out from it in a row boat and ent ashore. It proved to be a Government supply ship and left stores for the keeper of the Ligbt House. After diepoaing of tbeir email ex. go, they want-buck to the ship, and in a ehort time they were disappearing towards the horizon. The bathing is more popnlar than rer aa the eea*on advance*, and one reason is that the water ha* t tremely warm the last few days. Many are eeen in every day, and on last Saturday and Sunday dining the intense beat that Sea Isle experienced, the beach was filled with them and tbeir connteaancee expressed the great pleasure afforded by a dip in the “briaeT." Smiles gre seen on the faces of the fishermen wbo atilt continue to find pleasure out on the extension, for they have actually bad some bites. During the Week good catches hare been made, and it looks as though the good old fishing days were coming back, when the baskets were well filled and the reels rang a merry tune aa the line was oast out. Flounder* ol gooa size and other varieties have made their appearance, and several who have been out all day, have been rewarded with large catches, but they are etill choice a* to the mattei of bait, but as the enthusiasts are always equipped with every kind of tempting monels, it i. not the (salt of fishe: mas if be has bad no success in lending any; that is merely called bad tuck out on the end ol the pier, and i no reflection on the abilities of the sportsman, no matter bow good or bad be may be, lo. it baa been proved that the amateur fisherman will lard as many as tbe professional, II h* has Unright kind of material to entice th- m to his line.
