On Tueaday last a delegation representing the Ocean City Automobile Bridge Company art Ocean City Civic Societies appeared before tbe State Highway Commission, !n Trenton, and urged the taking over the bridge between Somers Point and Ocean City, and made free to tbe nubile. After favorable expreasiona / from the various committees together with like expression from the Senator and Assemblyman of this county, the State Highway Commission appoints] a committee consisting of Mr. Seabrooks and Mr. Doughty retd the President of its Board to represent ths State Highway Commission and to confer with the owners of tbe automobile bridge as to terms and price; and It is rumored that within a short time, and before the summer season opens, the bridge will be discharged from toll. Upon the State Isklng over- this toll bridge. Sea Isie City wa’ be more favored than ever before^ as It Is quite likely that tbe State Highway win run through Sea Isle City.
In Ocean City there Is n md from the aute bridge along Ninth -rael and Asbury avenue to Sixteenth meet, and the county has an Unproved rad froo Thirty-fourth street to Fiftyfifth street. The main street In Sea Isie City is a county improved road: tbe road from Cape May Court House to Avalon Pike is to be built, and the only pieces _ of roads to b* Unproved are from Sixteenth street to Thirty-fourth street In Ocean City; from Fifty-fifth street Ocean City, to Sea Isle City, and from Sea late City to Avalon Turnpike. The improve- : of three pieces of road would coat lens than any other route. With a State Highway from Somers Point through Ocean City and Sea Ule City, It would give an improved 8’x.te _ iway from Camden to Cape May City, Sea Isle City.
