Good Time to Purchase Certified

Seeu Potatoes

South Jersey Is digging Its crop of certified seed potatoes, and therefore this Is the season for the alert farmer to get his choice v,f certified Cobblers for next spring’s planting. Certification of potato seed stock will amount to something worth while this year, as the rules and regulations have been tightened to such an extent that comparatively few find their stock eligible to come under one per cent, of Mosaic and Leaf-roll, after two field Inspections. Last - year the rules allowed five per cent., when considerable undesirable seed stock was passed. Another asset to certification is that varietal mixtures are disqualified, and therefore the complaint that Cobblers do not ripen at the same time, should not come forth In 1222 as It did this year. For those who Intend to procure potatoes early. It would be well for them to inspect the list of growers who applied for certification on their late grown seed. The o.'fice of Farm Demonstration has such a list la I pamphlet form, which will be mailed
