SEA ISLE CITY IS * FORGING AHEAD First National Bank Will Boon Be Opened for Business I’nder the above heading, the Ocean City Sentinel in its issue of last week, printed the following: Sea Isle City Is evidently sharing liberally, in the business boom which appears to be sweeping over this section of the State. Its enterprising and aggressive leaders have for some time past been busily engaged In the formulation of plans for the organisation of an Institution, which will inevitably prove an Incentive to greater progress and advancement, than ever before in its history. A First National Bank has been properly and duly established, with Its full roster of officials, and directorate. The organisation of the new bank was perfected, at a meeting held In Sea Isle City, Wednesday, Novanber 1st. That the new Institution will prove an asset and a convenience, not only to Sea Isle City, bat to the entire County, is a foregone conclusion. A glance over the names of the directors is sufficient to win absolute confidence and trust. AH are gentlemen of wide and varied buslnees experience, men weU informed in all the intricacies of finance and banking. Moreover they are gentlemen well known In the County, and universally esteemed for their unimpeachable character, and commercial integrity. The establishment of the First National Bank of Ser. Isle.City, la the logical expression and outcome of the prosperity and progress the community has enjoyed, during the recent years. There can be no t vo opinions concerning the need of such an institution. For aom^ time past there has been considerable criticism emanating from various departments. concerning outside banks opening branch offices In the city, to the end that the establishment of a permanent institution In the community became imperative. Plans are being pushed forward with the utmost expediUon. to the end that the First National Bank In Sea Isle City will soon be a settled Institution, and open to business. The new bank will begin operations with a capital of 126.000. and a surplusage of $6,000. all of which has been paid in. Consequently. Sea Isle City's flrat bank, will begin Its career of public service, under the most auspicious circumstances. Efficiency and courtesy, keeping their clients’ interests first In rank
of importance, will be the govemin, ethics of the iuntitutton; and no er. fort will be OTU-ed to win and r*Ua by merit, the undivided confidence of the community it will serve. At the meeting held on Wedne*. day, the officers and, directors ele*
