One of the Interesting developments of the New Jersey Experiment Station Fruit Department a that of finding a substitute for that awful stuff, Self-boiled Lime-sulfur. The new mixture can even success fully take the place of the dilute summer strength lime-sulfur solution (1 to fid), which a used on apples. The material Is sulfur, !• pounds, hydratod lime 8 pounds, and calcium casein 1 pound. All are mixed thoroughly dry and then added to 100 gallons of water in the spray tank whila the Agitator a running, mixture gave a better control on acab of peach and apple than did the regular self-boiled lime-sulfur oe peaches and the (1 to 60) concentrated lime-sulfur solution on apples.
