MYSTERIOUS EIRE DESTROYS GOSHEN EARN Midnight Blaze on Tuesday Rum Walling Barn to the Ground The barn belonging to J. Walling, of Goshen, on what is known as the Thompson farm, was completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday night, near midnight. The barn is close to the Walling home, but the family had gone to bed and were unconscious of the fire until arcuaed !.y neighbors. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The barn was used only for storage of farm Implements and egg crates, and no one had visited the barn for hours before the fire. There were no stoves or electric wires in the barn, and no apparent way of it catching on fire. An alarm was sent in to Court House and the fire company made a quick run to the scene ot the blaze but before it arrived the structure had been reduced to u smoldering ryln. State Troopers arrived as quickly as the fire department, and Sheriff Redding was on the job with
than. It is understood that a thorough investigation Into the cause of the fire will be made, it being feared that the barn-burning epidemic which is sweeping sections of Pennb/lvania and New Jersey may have struck Cape May County.
