AKHTVERSARY OF PASTOR
Luge Gathering Pay Homage to Pas-
tor of SeaviUe Circuit
On Thursday evening, January 4, the three churches of SeaviUe circuit joined in celebrating the pastor’s fortieth wedding anniversary. The parsonage was filled to overflowing and the evening was passed very pleasantly with singing, reciutiona.
and readings.
The feature of the occasion wa.. the mock wedding ceremony which performed at 9:30 by the Rev. F. 8. Carter and Rev. E. A. Stratton. The wedding march was played by Miss Helen Stratton and the Doman1c with bis "bride to be" marched in keeping step with the music. Tbs "bride” was attired in whlto silk with old lace veil caught with whlto and pink rose buds and carried a bouquet of orchids, loealng as rosy and youthful as she did forty years ago. The groom wore the conventional black with the long tall coat and wore a white carnation on the coat lapel. He declared was somewhat shakey and we believe this was true as the perspiration mopped from bis brow he said "this Is warm business." It now nearing midnight, fine cakes, cocos grapes, apples, and confectionary were served In abundance. Those present were as follows: Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Cawman, Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Young. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Roes. Miss Clara D. Rose. Mr. and Mrs. William Gannon. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Steelmar. son Kenneth. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sapp. Mr. and Mrs. William Layton. Miss Doris Layton.
