AND WHEREAS, the said road as laid out and opened crosses Gi Sound Channel, AND WHEREAS, said Grassy Sound Channel at the point of crossing Is a part of the Inland WaUrway System of the SUte of New Jersey and by reason of this fact it Is necessary to erect and construct over said Channel si lift or draw-bridge In order not to interfere with the free iage of boats using said water-
way.
AND WHEREAS, the Chosen Freeholders of the County of Cape May, has by resolution, authorised the erection and construction of a lift bridge over said Grassy Sound Channel. AND WHEREAS, it has been termlned that in order to provide the necessary funds for the constriction of said bridge, that bonds of the County of Cape May be Issued pursuant to an acj of the Legislature of the SUte of New Jersey, entitled "An Act to authorise and regulate the Issuance of bonds and other obligations and Incurring of indebtednees by County, City, Borough, Village. Town, Township or any municipality governed by an improvem' at commission," and approved March 22, 1910, and constituting Chapter 262 of the laws of 1916, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED, on the 5 th day of December In the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, by tbq Board,of Choeen Freeholders of the County of Cape

Section 1. That there be Issued by the County of Cape May serial bonds to be known as “Grassy Sound Channel Bridge Bonds,” In the s«m of one hundreo elghtyahouaand dollars to raise funds for the construction of the Grassy Sound Channel Bridge connecting the two parts of the County Road running from North Wildwood on Five Mile Beach to the Stale Highway Route No. 14 at Burleigh In Middle Township, all In the County of Cape May. The probable period of usefulness of ..he property and improvement for which such bonds are to be issued U declared to be thirty year*. The said bonds shall be regUterable at the option of the holder as to principal and interaat. shall be signed by the director of the Board of Chosen FreeholBers and the County Treasurer, and the seal of the County of Cape May shall be affixed thereto, and it shall be attested by the Clerk of the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Both principal and interest of said bonds shall be payable in lawful money of the United States of America at the First National Bank, of Ocean City, N. J., and the faith, credit and property of the County of Cape May are hereby pledged for the payment thereof. Section 2. In order to redeem said bonds in proportionate annual stallments. a sum equal to amount of the installments thereof maturing within the year shall be Included in the annual tax levy and appropriations of the County, until maturity and redemption of the final Installments; there shall also be apportioned annually and Included In the ann _al tax levy a sum sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds snch Interest shall become due. Section 3. The average valuation of the taxable real property. Including Improvements, of the County of Cape May. computed upon the next preceeding three years’ valuation thereof is determined and declared to be thirty-six millions seven hundred forty-nine thousanu two hundred nine dollars, the net debt to be three and ninety-three one hundreth per cent. (.0393) dollars; and the statement required by Section 12 of said Act has been made and filed as therein provided. Section 4. That this resolution ■hall take effect Immediately.

Board of Chosen Freeholders County of Cape May Few Jersey Resolution WHEREAS, tbe Board of Chosen Freeholders of Cape May County have considered It necessary to pave Beach Avenue, In Cape May City, from the Intersection o Beach Avenue and Howard Street, thence North 1674 feet with a width of thirtyseven feet to the Intersection of Madison Avenue, and WHEREAS, the said Board of Choeen Freeholders has, by resolution. authorised the paving of said street, and WHEREAS, It has been determined that In order to provide the necessary funds for the paving of said street, that bonds of the County of Cape May be Issued pursuant to an act of the Legislature of the State of New* Jersey, entitled, "An Act to authorise and regulate the Issuance of bonds and other obligations and incurring of Indebtedness by County, City, Borough, Village, Town. INCREASE IN SALARY FOR LIFE GUARDS OCEAN CITT— It will pay the Ocean City life guards to stay during the entire summer this coming season as their salary has been increased to seventyfive dollars a month, with a bonus of ten dollars a month If they stick throughout the season. Last year they were given sixty dollars a month with a bonus, and struck. A Rhode Island woman charges her husband, who Is a preacher, with having affairs with 122 women. He must be a regular rowdy.
