NEW HIGH SCHOOL WILL COST HALF MILLION Ocean City.—The Board of Education. at a meeting oh Thursday. March 8. received bids for. the erection of tbe proposed new high school building that were much In excess of the estimated cost. The lowest figures ran practically $100,000 more than was expected, making the total cost at $462.845—this without tbe furnishings, which would run the coet at least an additional $50,000. It was thought when the proposition was discussed some time since that the building could be erected at a cost of not more than $350,000. and that 825.000 would be required for the furnishings.
