South Jersey’s Demand for New Telephones Makes Necessary New Buildings, New Wire, New Switchboards, New Equipment We HAVE but one reason for being in business, and that is to farnifh a comprehensive telephone service. When the people of South Jersey aay to us, “We need more telephones,** we can make but one answer. Ten thousand new telephones this year it our reply. And these new tclcphoni.’S will require millions of dollars’ worth of new lines and central office equipment. Even with the tremendous amounts of eouipment which we have poured into New Jersey in the past few years, there are people waiting for telephones. Wc are breaking records every day in our effort to catch up with the demands which the people of southern New Jersey are placing upon us.
