Robert Landis, accompanied by Miss Violet Crawson, of Philadelphia, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Landls-Jr. Mrs. Carolina Cronecker Is enjoying a week's visit with her son Fred, at his hotel in Eaglesvllle, Pa. She Is expected back this week. Mrs. W. C. Pearse, of Philadelphia, entertained a party of friends at the Coyle cottage. Pearl street, which the Pearses are occupying for the season. Mrs. George Straubmuller, of Philadelphia. accompanied by her son George. Jr., his wife and child, spent the week-end at her handsome beachfront cottage. .Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, of Philadelphia, have opened the Conway cottage, on Minerva street for the season. The Millers occupied this cottage last year. Miss Agnes Barr, of Philadelphia, and who lormerly owned the Colonnade Hotel, and now has a cottage on Landis avenue and Coral iti'ee' arrived Thursday for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Arnett and George R. Ross, of the First National Bank here, attended, the Cape May County Bankers Association Banquet at Cape May City on Thursday evening. Preparations are being made by Miss Maud L', -e for the early opening of the Colonnade Hotel, Landis avenue at Neptune street, for the season. The Loves bought this popular hostelry some time ago. and will conduct it as a year-round hotel. Anthony Byrne, accompanied by his sister Margaret and cousin Margaret Twohey. u. vtored from Washington. D. C.. last Friday, picking up Mrs. Carrie Gallen, their aunt. In Philadelphia. Anthony Byrne turned to Washington by motor on Sunday, taking with him his aunt. Mrs. Turner Pope Grey. Mrs. Grey will return to her home here this

The last of the Men’s Club socials of the season took place In the basement of the M. E. Church on Monday evening, with the lad:«s as the guests of honor. Seventy-11 v* were served with the delightfully app<fringmenu provided by the Entertainment Committee. The program Included a recitation by Miss Gertrude Fisher, an address by Mayor Irvlrg FUch and several well-rendered vocal selections by Mrs. A. W. Miller and Mrs. H. Sutton.
Mayor Irving Fitch and George Soeder Joined the Atlantic City Tall Cedars last Saturday in the visitation to Milford, Delaware, where President Harding was initiated into the mysteries of Cedarism. Miss Elizabeth Reed and Jack Wynings. of Logan. Pa., motored over from Atlantic City Saturday afternoon to visit Miss Reed's mother, Mrs. Harry Jacobi, returning to Philadelphia Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. F.'M McGarvey, of Philadelphia, motored to Sea Isle City last Friday, to take up their permanent residence In their cottage on Spring street Mr. McGarvey * had heat Installed for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urban arrived on Tuesday from Philadelphia to reman for the season. Mr. Urban for a number of years has been the operator at the Pier Theatre, and this popular show house will open tonlgh: for the season. Mrs. C. E.
