Miss Katherine Baer entertained her brother and family, of East Strousberg. Pa., recently. Samuel Delaney, of Philadelphia, spent the week-end with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Delaney. Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Asquith, of Germantown, are summering In Sea Isle City being guests at the Surf House. Dr. York, prominent Philadelphia dentist, spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Landis, on the Boulevard. Frederick E. Cowdrick. of Philadelphia. spent Sunday with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Cowdrick. at their cottage on the Boulevard. Miss Fllomena Braca went to the Lackanau Hospital. Philadelphia, on Wednesday afternoon, to have an operation performed on her throat. James G. Hardie was a week-end visitor in Sea'Isle City. Mrs. Handle is now enjoying a trip through Maine, making headquarters at Portland. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Schroyer and baby daughter, of West Philadelphia, were week-end guests at the Parker cottage. Marine Place and Farrand Street. Mrs. Charles easier, of Atlantic City, formerly Miss Florence Rush, of Sea Isle City, was the guest over the week-end of Mias Ina Wright, of Paris Street. Mrs. J. Rotan and her daughter. Miss Jennie, left this week for a five week's stay in the Ponoco Mountains. They are stopping at the new "* Airy House, in Monroe County. Mr. and Mrs. John Koeek. Miss Fannie DuBois and Mias Kathryn Hopkins, of Philadelphia, spent the week-end here el-h Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Stubaus. at their Ariadne Street cottage. Mrs. John Cornish, formerly Miss Vera Muller, of this city, was operated on for appendicitis at the Millville Hospital on Monday. Mrs. Cornish Is now thought to be out of danger. The Spray Hotel, on the Boardwalk, reporU a big season, with both the hotel and the Paris Street annex well filled. Among the guests of the week were a party of twelve from Baltimore. Mrs. William MacMurray celebrated her twenty-fourth birthday with a party of friends at the Bellevue Cafe on Saturday evening. Her husband’s birthday gift was a new Cleveland sedan. Miss Elisabeth Reed, of Philadelphia. is spending a week with her mother. Mrs. Harry Jacobi. William Reed and Mt. O'Keefe, of Pittsburgh, were also guests of Mrs. Jacob! and family on Sunday. Mrs. Henry K. Cooper has recovered from the shock she received Sunday night. July 1. when she was almost struck by the excursion train at lAndis Avenue crossing. Mrs. Cooper, who Is slightly deaf, neither saw or heard the train and was unaware of her peril when William Barnee pulled her from the tracks.
