Mrs. Oeorge Wanamaker and her daughter, Mias M. H. Wanamaker. of Philadelphia, are entertaining Mrs. Barry L. Barber, Mias Rath M. Barber. Miss Dell MacCann and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel R. Wanamaker. for the next few weeks at her summer residence here. The birthday anniversary of Frank K. Matthews, a well-known Quaker City lawyer, was celebrated last Sunday at his summer residence on Asbury Avenue, near 66th Street. Mr. Matthew's mother and brother and family, together with several friends, motored down from Philadelphia to be present on the occasion. A very much reported nuisance In this resort Is the practice of permitting dogs to roam at will upon the resort boardwalk. Many complaints have already been registered against this evil, and In several instances several persons were known to have been attacked and bitten by the animals. The general feeling Is that In a resort where there are so many children something should be done In order to prevent this. Breaks Hose In Fall William Carey, of Philadelphia, who is summering at !S30 Asbury kvenue. sustained a broken nose. When he fell from on lop a hignau pyramid on the beach, last Thursday morning. Carey, with a dozen others, had formed a human pyramid to have their picture snapped. It Is not known whether be slipped or fell off. t>ut he hit the ground, breaking his nose and suffering other injuries. He was picked up unconscious and rushed to the Tenth Street Hospital rent, which was nearby. Seeing the txtent of his Injuries, the guards on luty there called the ambulance and te was rushed to the office of Dr. 5V. P. Haines, beach surgeon, where Carey's nose was set. and his other injuries treated.

E. P. Kurts, well-known resort automobile agent for the Ford cart, spent last Monday In Philadelphia on a business trip. He is arranging to have several of the new model Ford coupes brought to this resort and exhibited In his showrooms. Captain Jack Jernee. of the Ocean City Beach Patrol, together with Guard Shock and another man. went off several miles early this morning and returned several hours later with around fifty croakers, weekfiah and other kinds. The guards usually make a fishing expedition an average of once a week, if not oftener. and usually return with a fair catch. Several acts of vaudeville will be shown every week during th? colder months at the Moorlyn Theatre, according to an announcement made recently. These will probably be staged on Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings. This Is setting a precedent here, and heretofore one picture house was open during the winter and no vaudeville
