Arthur BlaLkman and George Blackman have rteurned to the Quaker City after a week-end visit to their parents. Mr. ana Mrs. George Blackman. Sr., of 842 Third Street. The former Is employed as a chemist In the Atlantic Refining Company's laboratories In Philadelphia, while the latter is a student at the Phlledntphla Dental College. Everett Breckley. of this city, was In charge of the first dance of the season at the new Red Men’s Hall, last Saturday evening. About fifty couples were observed on the floor. The Dorsey Anderson Orchestra furnished the music for the dance. Breckley plans to hold another dance at the hall this Saturday, and perhaps one on New Year's eve. School sessions in this resort end Friday, December 21st, and do not begin again until Thursday, January 3rd. On Friday afternoon the studenU of the High School will. be excused early In order thst they may attend the Christmas play that will be given at the Strand Theatre, under the direction of Miss Louisa T.

Ocean City High School will play the strong Woodbine High School five, Friday evening, at Temple Hall. As a preliminary game to this one It Is expected that the Triangle A. C. will meet the strong Mercer A. C.. of Atlantic City. Coach Alfred DeMarls. of the High School team, Is holding practice every Tuesday and Thursday and expects to have the locals In fine shape for the game. The probable line-up for Friday evening's game Is: Captain Baron and Boswell at the forward posts; T. Adams, the lanky six-foot-plus center, at pivot position, and Manager Marcus Blackman holding down one of the guard positions. It is a toss-up between Robert Gordon and Anthony Selvagn to start at the other guard poet, but both are sure to get ln‘o the game alon„- with Arthur Huff. Herbert McCollom and other first string men.
