South Jersey is asking for more tdepbemen—a thousand a month this year. And there will be no let-up in the rtammwi for during the next five years we figure that we win be called on to install 50,000 new telephones. We’re in the telephone business to supply telephone* when they are needed and where they are needed. Installing the telephone, however, is the smallest part of the job. For every new telephone line must have two wires to the central office and space on the switchboard. And new telephones mean larger wwitchboards and larger central office buildings. We are spending $400,000 every month this year for new equipment and new buildings to care for these new telephones. But every added telephone means more power to your telephone.
