The legal requirement to for all Inland waterway bridges to have a clearance of fifty feet In the draw •pan. The Reading bridge has this clearance above water, but the piling are aet at a slant, and the structure lacks three feet of the required clearance below water. The Prudential dredge to fifty feet wide, and cannot, therefore, get through this span until the piling are removed. 35th Wedding Anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. D. Upton Bair Somehow, <n some way, the good people of the Messiah Lutheran Church learned that their pastor an’ wife weie quleUy celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary last Saturday. Rev. and Mrs. D. Uptou Bair had driven to Cape May for dinner, and upon returning bed settled down for the evening, when the door bell rang and one lone lady came in, presumably to show her new dress, but purpoee'.y to see If the coast was clear and to hold the occupants of the parsonage. Later a large group rmno and still others, to show their gowns, until the parsonage was well filled. They brought potted plants and beautiful cut floorers. They also brought refreshments dainty and fine, which they served before leaving. Everyone seemed filled to overflowing with good cheer. It was the most hilarious bunch, the pastor thought, that ever came to any par-

sonage.

They started out for a good time and they had It. They demonstrated the truth that “laughter doeth good like a medicine.*’ “Come again,” says Rev. and Mrs. Bair, “we nhall have another anniversary the list of next March.”
