Many Entries For Motorcycle Run Vinton To Sea Isle Will Probably Exceed 2,000 The plans for the motorcycle meet to be staged In Sea Isle City on June tl by the Allied Motorcycle Association, wer discussed at the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce on Monday night in the City Hall. The county booster tour through Delaware. Maryland and Pennsylvania proved a greater success than th» originators expected. The caravan ended Us tour at Easton last Saturday morning. The purpose ot the tour, in addition to attracUng attention to the reeorts of Cape May County, was to make a survey of the cities visited, to study the condicions, learn what cities would be the most fertile field for future advertising and investigate the condlUons of the highway? leading to Cape May
County.
That South Jersey highways cannot compare with the highways of neighboring States was emphasised. Sea laic City's new ornamental street lights will be on for the first of June, according to City Superintendent Theodore E. CeBow. who reported this at the meeting of the City Commlmloner* on Tuesday. At the previous meeting the Commissioners threatened to cancel the contracts lor the lights and cross arms unless they were delivered st once, and Mr. DeBow stated Tuesday that the bllia of lading for all the equipment were now in his possession, and the equipment was expected any day. All the poles on the ocean side of Landis Avenue will be removed. and the lights will be placed on the new poles on the west side of the avenue. Work on removing the wires of the Keystone Telephone Company to Pleasure Avenue, from Landis Avenue, will soon be completed. The contract for the building of the new boardwalk st the south of the present boardwalk, and for the stretch at Townsend^ Inlet, was awarded to C«orge T rtenecker. Man's Ann Tom Off When Caught in Windlass Edward Thompson, of Burk Avenue and Paik Boulevard. WUd'ood. was fatally Injured last Monday when his arm was caught In a windlass at Two Mile Beach. Tbompaon was employed by Ober ft Woolaon, contractors, of Wildwood. He was directing the placing of piling. With one hand he as guiding the cable to the windlass when he became entangled. He was tossed around the windthree times and his arm wa* torn from the socket. In endeavoring to extract himself his other arm became entangled and crushDisplaying great vitality. Thompson started to walk down the railroad track to Wildwood. The lower part of TbomiMon’* right arm was bald oa by a shred. Captain Hans Thompson, foreman of the Bader Construction Company, who was working naarby. nputated it with bis pen knife Tbompaon waa taken to Mace's Hospital and hi* left arm was amputated. He died the following
day.

Mason was born in Delaware. When a small lad his parents moved to South Jersey. He began his criminal ca-eer when about 14 . years of agt. He served a sentence in Rahway. Later he waa committed to State's prison charged with larceny. After serving his sentence ia Trenton. Mason made his headquarters along ths bay front at Ocean City. Numerous robberies that occurred In the vicinity were charged to him. Though Mason confined his criminal efforts to petty thievery, his reput* Ron as desperate character was well known to tpe Ocean City police. On one r cession when the Ocean City police were pressing him. Mason sent a miss age to on* of the offtcers stating that he was going "bump Lint off.” A motor stolen from th* offices of John Mart* Lumber Company waa traced to Mason.
