Plans are rapidly forming for the 1925 motorcycle beauty pageant and the races, to be held In Sea Isle City on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21. Jess Campbell, chairman of the Middle Atlantic Sectional A. M. A. Rally and National Gypsy Tour, was In Sea Isle City on Thursday and stated that there will be thirtyfive floats In line this year, ss mpared to seventeen last year. Forest Fire aa Goshen Road A forest fire, starting on the west side of Goshen road, abreast ths Twin Pins Laundry, was discovered & bout 9.20 A. M. on Saturday. Ths fire had gained considerable headway before being discovered and had Jumped to the east side of Goshen road before help was available. It took what available help there was to keep the laundry and two other small houses from burning. After making sure the buildings were safe, the firefighters turned their attention to the forest, which was burning briskly, fanned by a strong south wind. Section Firewarden Ludlam. with Middle Township Firewarden R. Lloyd, and local Firewardens J. Ross. J. Chambers and E. Post, with a large force of men fought valiantly to gain control of the fire, which they did

The quiet of last Tuesday was to vivid contrast to the activity of four years ago, when ths Commissioners' election was one of the most bitterly contested to the history of the resort. Chased Rom Runner Lost Saturday morning coast guard ship. Past Harbor, commanded by Captain Wright, of the Hereford Inlet Station, chased a rum runner for 26 miles up the Delaware Bay. The rum runner threw overboard over 100 cases of Scotch whiskey, which was later recovered by the coast guards. The rum boat eluded the guards, but later to the day the Ruth, a 46 foot cruiser, from Atlantic Highlands. was picked up at Atlantic City from the description furnished by Captain Wright. The guards fired shout 200 bullets at the rum boat without any noticeable effect.

Paid For Burning Road It cost Ellsworth O. Allen, of New York, twenty-five dollars and costa to drive on the Main Seashore Road at fifty miles an hour. Ellsworth was hailed by Trooper Bishop early this week, and brought to Justice Pappalardo, Sea tele City, who Imposed the fine. Ellsworth admitted he wss going “about forty-five."
