Numerous motion picture producers have tried in vain to film Doyle’s story, but the reincarnation of the monsters wus deemed
impoarible.
Finally, however, an embryo sculptor named Wllllo H. O'Brien "discovered" the monsters. He submitted his strange idea to Watterson R. Rothacker. owner of film laboratories in Chicago and Ixjs Angeles. Rothacker saw Ita possibilities, and Joining hands with First National Pictures, launched work on the project. Thct was seven years ago. Since then work baa proceeded steadily, and now the picture is complete. It establishes probably the record for time production in the film industiy as well as a
record for uniqueness
Bessie Levs. Lewis Stone. WalIsce Beery and Lloyd Hughee head the human cast, sharing honors with the prehistoric monsters. Supporting them are more than 3.000 other players who participate in the huge scenes showing the return of the explorers to
London.
Earl Hudson supervised the production for Rothacker and First National, the directorial staff Including O’Brien and Harry
Hoyt.
According to Sid Stanley of the Moorlyn, "The Loet World” will not be shown elsewhere In tt i ■t before late fall. The reserved it sale la going at a rapid paca.
