Directors of Paving Co. Receive Gratifying News T. S. Goell-, vice-president and director of the R. L. Bonbssn Company, and Winchester 1 ham. also a director, have received some very gratifying news from their company which Is a paving concern operating in Pennsylvania. near the Delaware Water

Gap.

The R. L. Bonham Company, according to the Penns-lvanls State Highway Commission, holds the record for laying concrete paving In the State of Pennsylvania. Under date of July 1. the State Highway Engineer. W. H. Connell, wired the Concrete Steel Company, of 42 Broadway. New York, as follows "Your communication of June 29, regal ding the progress of pavement on the R- L. Bonham contract on Route 164, Monroe County, is acknowledged and you are advUed that in accordance with our records .his contractor laid 6.39 miles of 18 feet reinforced concrete pavement from May 22 to June 25. both Inclusive, which is slightly o-sr a month's time, which is the best performance of which we have knowledge at the present time In this State." Both Mr. Goslln and Mr. Bonham are pleased with the record made oy the company that they, are connected with and feel that the R. L. Bonham Company Is destined to become one of the foremost pcvlng companies In the Ernst. Mr. R. L. Bonham the, oresident and general manager, of the company, is s brother of Winchester Bonham, of Wildwood.

Three large traffic signs „ heavy nutal have been made under the direction of City Marshal Charles Biggs to direct traffic day and night to thp seashore points. The signs are in the shape of a flat box. and will have a transparent front bearing the direction, "Wildwood, Ocean City and Cape May.” with the arrow pointers. One will be set at High and Broad Streeta, one at High and Main, and the third at Second and Main

Streeta.

Millville will be the csntral point of those going from the north and west to the seashore resorts to the eouth of Atlantic City this summer, and. while the entire route from Camden to Cap* May Point, a distance of upwards to 80 miles, will not be paved this summer, the road wUl be kept good condition with gravel, and in many cases a coating of oU to keep down the dust and moke the highways quite as good as macadam. The only open stretch between Camden and a mile north of FrankllnviUe Is a little piece In Olaasboro. which will In the near future be open to-traffic, the hard surfacing now being done. From this point to (he Millville city line and Landis Township Is about sixteen miles by Delsea Drive. The work of paving 1c North Millville, some two miles, will be started this summer, but the highway will be opened on but one side until the opposite side Is ready to use. All other road work on this route will perhaps be entirely completed, and all of the bridges eouth of Millville, which are to be or have been replaced and the road widened and straightened, will be done before the late summer travel will pass

through.

From the Menantl'o Bridge to the Maurice town Causeway Read, eouth of Brickaboro the paving is nearing completion, and the gravel road to the south of that point through the cut-off, which eliminates the little villages Dorchester and Leesburg, l.._ dangerous railroad crossings, and a right angle turn at Leesburg. Is In excellent condition. The only bad piece In this link Is a little stretch at Port Elisabeth. A good stretch of this paving la now open to traffic. Road and bridge work at Delmont la also nearing completion, and this will greatly Improve the traffic conditions, the bridge spannlng Went Creek always haring You Can Save Money! Continuing through Ocean City the route will lead serose the inlet to Longport. Margate, Chelsea, Ventnor and Atlantic City. The Utter stretch is nil paved and U a delightful drive. It was sUted last nlgkt by a road authority that bids for the North Millville work will be advertised for in the near future. Along the route of the proposed paving on North High Street the Millville Water Company and the Cumberland County Oas Company are busy with a large force of men making all replacments and extensions where necessary, and laying Berrios lines to the curb* where dwellings are now loetted and to lota where building Is likely to be done, and this will insure no breaking of the etreeU by the utilities for years to come. The work will be completed so that there will not be the least holding up In the paving program. The work to be done U quite considerable and has given employment to a number of men who ~ sre idle It U understood that the city has very little work to do In that locality as the water system
