Meeting of Odd Fellows at Wildwood At a recent meeting of the Woodbine Borough Council the Mayor and Council promised to help tbe local lodge of Odd Fellows make tbe convention, which will take place from October 6 to Ifi, Inclusive, a successful one. It was shown that the idea of the convention wee chiefly to disclose tbe good qualities of the order. As representatives from many cities will be present, it wUl tend to place Woodbine where It Justly belongs. All tbe factories, the manufacturing plants, and Mr. Tinsley, of the Bute Colony of Feeble-Minded Males, have also promised to help the local lodge of Odd Fellow* in this great undertaking.

Kitty Reed Was Heroine On Sunday last one of the most sensational rescuee ever made on Sea Isle beach took place when Lifegiards Tom White and Jack Dennett, assisted by Ralph Kendlg and Ted Neagle rescued four bathers from the suction holes near the Jetty off Ocean Avenue. It was a few minutes before 10 and the lifeguards and their friends were crossing the Jetty to reach tbe "stand" when lifeguard White noticed three bathers dangerously near the Jetty and started to the water's edge to whistle them away. Wife Deserter Taken To North Carolina George A. Midgett. of Elisabeth. N. C.. waa taken back to that town Wednesday In the custody of a Sheriff after being arrested Tuesday on a writ of capias by Sberiff George Redding, of Cape May Court House. Midgett waa wanted In North Carolina on a charge of abandoning his wife and several children and for Jumping ball. Sheriff Redding received notice of presence in Cape May County of Midgett. from the North Carolina authorities, and immediately located him In a boat houae back of Wildwood Crest.
