Cape May will soon own the largest map of any one county la the world. This waa mat’s known by W. R. D. HsM. county publicity director, at the May meeting of the Cape May (>»unt> Chamber of Commerce, which was held last night (Thursday) at Avalon, when Mr. Hall outlined the publicity plan* of the county for

the Seequl-Centennial Exposition.

The county map. which will form the county Sesqui-Cenfennlsl exhibit, will be Bfty-two feci long, by sixteen feet high, ana Is now being made by the Rand-Mekally Company, of Chicago. The map will be In full color, and will be mounted in a shadow box frame, wlih strong electric ligb'a constantly playing on 't. The scale will be tour hundred feel lo ths Inch, and will be so made that the view of the county will be from the east, or ocean, side. Mr. Hall ex-

plained.

Bids for the making of thti map were received by the Board of Plkebolders on Wednesday, and (he contract was then awarded. The JUnd-McNallv Company had made a preliminary survey of the county. and had had acroftane views taken of every part of the county from Egg Harbor Bay to the Delaware Bay at Cape May Point. These photoe. plus local tax maps, will be used in making the exhibit map. and every street, building waterway, road, railroad, farm and woodland In the entire county will be shown so closely that one can pick out Individual buildings In say part of (he county. Mr. Hall further explained that the map will be removable, and a later be used as a permanent exhibit In the new county building Court House and can be brought up to date from time to time at iall expense, so that the county will always be in tv^wesKlon of an accurate scaled map. From where the audlcuee will view Ibe map. It will appear that one is facing the county as from the top of a high mast of a ship In the ocean, giving the effect of looking down on the county,'so that every section, lo the western boundary line, can be seen at a glance. The effect will be moe' beautiful and realistic. It was relate'’, by Mr. Hall, and the exhibit should allrnct international attention. South' Jersey Exposition. Too Mr. Hall said that the county wns not- unmindful of Ihe South Jersey Exposition, at Camden, and here agriculture would be leatured above tbe resort*. The exact nature of the exhibit had not been fully determined, he stated, hot the thought was to have a huge radio erected, with a dial pointing to each reeort. and lo agriculture. Industry, motor roads, residential, railroads and everything that a stranger might wa|t to know aboot U»e eouaty. The turning of the dial lo any point of which the alranger wants to know something will start a record especially made, telling the story of that one aad this talk will come oat'Of the "radio" loud speaker. This win be supplemented, probably, by motion pictures, and by exhibit* of soil aad agripltursl products of the county. Mr. Hall urged the earnext eo-npehiilon of every civic and agricultural agency la the county In both exhibits, and told how effective it would be If representatives of t&a Prar„ . the boards trades and other civic organisations would Km at the county exhibit in tbe Seaqul from time to time ot act ax a "welcome committee" and tell about the county. Other publicity plans. Including the taking of a county moving plctnro Dim. were outlined by Mr. Hall.
