She called for her husband, and he. too. was stabbed by Chestnut, who then fled and Officer Llebenaan was summoned. After quite a search Llebermnn called Trooper Cox. of Tuckahoe, and Trooper Riley, of Cape May Court House, and l atmioned about a dozen men. armed with rifles, at Belleplsin Lleberman used strategy when he enraged a few colored men. of Woodbine, who knew Chestnut, and one of these captured the man and turned him over Trooper Riley, who was on lookout at Dennlsvllle He was brought before Justice Levin, and aentenced to thirty days in Jail, after the Justice learned that the Injuries Inflicted on Chavise and
