Given Crossing Permit Can Proceed With Cape May Point Branch At a public hearing before the Board of Freeholders, on Wednesday. the Atlantic City Railroad was granted right of way to cross over a county highway at Cape May Point In construction of their new line running to the ferry connecting with Lewes. Del. County Engineer R. Fendall Smith, when asked by Director Ogden to give his view on the matter, atated that the railroad company should construct a crossing which will stand the traffic. A representative of the company stated that a modern crossing would be built and (hat the company would be glad to supply any protection which the Utility Commission specified, adding that the speed of locomotives would be restricted to ten miles an hour.
