program.

Each ward Is appropriately decorated for the occasion, featuring in every case a Christmas tree. When one realizes chat only one of tbe seven wards is provided with a woman's touch, the artistic and p’easing effects from a decorative standpoint are. indeed, a tribute to the interest and ability of the men attends .ta. Many of these children come from orphaned and neglected homes. Through the co-operation of the various women's clubs of the county during the past three years, these children have been amply cared for. so that not a single child has failed to partake of the Christmas cheer. The interest displayed by these good women 1b a large factor In the Inspiration of the staff of the Institution toward a conscientious endeavor to fill each child's "cup of Joy” to the overflowing. If those of us. who are beginning to fee] a waning in our eDthuxiaimi for the Christmas spirit could only look upon these children, ordinarily dull, negative. apathetic, and eoold see them go Into ecstaritJ toag before Christmas at the lery mention of Santa Claus and again beheld them in ihe very presence ol St. Nicholas himself, we would, indeed, experience a reawakening as to the possibilities of Christmas as a real opportunity to spread Joy and happinera abroad In this Isnd of ours.
