In Keeping With Progress

The New Cape May County Court House

F ROM the earliest lime man has invented many methods of lighting, hut up to the time that the Electric Light was perfected the methods of lighting so far invented were very' inefficient at hest. In his effort to get a substitute for the natural light of the Sun, man has come upon- the magic of EJecricity and has at last found in it the greatest and most efficient dispeller of darkness that has ever l^een discovered. And now Electricity for lighting and power purposes is universally used by all kinds of buildings, homes, plants municipalities, etc. The New County Court House is another splendid structure added to the endless list of electrically equipped buildings. It is an addition to Cape May County that this county will soon find indispensable. And the giant Electricity that furnishes it w .1 its light is as indispensable to the Court 1 douse as the Court House is to this county. Without Electricity the building would l»e impeded considerably, for Electricity gives this structure the utmost in lighting efficiency at the lowest possible cost. Fhe Electricity furnished by the Atlantic City Electric Company will give those who use

Can Use Electricity As Its Sun this building artificial daylight twenty-four hours a day. The sun can come up and down, hut as far as lighting requirements are concerned, it will matter little, for the giant Electricity will always he there ready at their command to dispel darkness at any hour of the day or night.

Cape May County’s Brilliantly Illuminated Beachfronts and Boardwalks are Panoramic Views Known to and Remembered by Men, Women and Children the World Over - -'t es, Even by 1 hose Who Have Never Been to This Great County Resort. ELECTRICITY is the GIANT and UNSEEN Power that Makes This Inspiring Sight Possible.

Ehe wonder of Electricity is proclaimed by all. Back in the “dark ages’* the mere press of a button with the finger or the simple turning of a switch that would illuminate a gigantic structure and flood it with daylight, would have lx*en an almost incredible revelation and would have been heralded as a great miracle, hut now it is a commonplace occurrence. Buildings large and small throughout the world are electrically equipped - - which testifies lo the fact that Electricity is playing an important part in the progress of the world, and particularly so of Cape May County. The Atlantic City Electric Company finds pleasure in taking this opportunity to heartily congratulate the men who were instrumental in making this wonderful New Court House Building a reality, and who by their f< nesight and courage have given to Cape May County a structure of which it may well he proud - - proud both of its beauty of architecture and its usefulness. It will stand as a testimonial to the civic pride and the confidence the people have shown in the future progress of Cape May County, “The Peninsula of Opportunity.
