In a report submitted to the County Board of Freeholders nt th-ir regular meeting W dneaday afternoon. County Publicity Director W R I) Hall told howpersons who visit winter resorts in the far South and Vest will heat (he story ol Cape May County during the coming months. Mr. Hall has been in touch with a number of secretaries of Chamber* of Commerce in Florida. Georgia, the Caro] in as and California, with a view to placing with them copies of the Cap.May County official book for distribution in their various localities. Arrangements have already been completed for the distribution of the booklet in St. Peters-

Publicity Director reported that .840 county bb-tklels have been distributed, more than 1300 inquiries received and answered, persons answering inquiries visited Cape May County varying periods and seven become property ov net* her.-. %These figures. A communication from the City n< Cape May to the Freeholders asked that something be done about the unsanitary condition of the creek, west of Perry Street. Cape May County Times Leads Every Newspaper in New Jersey Th- C.APf MAY cot vn TIMES 1-aJ, -vrrv C ly newspaper in New Jersey in the quantity and quality of its The CAFE MAY COUNTY TIMES leads every other newspaper in the State, daily and weekly, in the quality and quantity of its agricultural nru s. This wa- proven on Monday of this week, when the I IMES, in competition with the other newspapers from the tip of the State in Sussex County to the toe of the State in Cape May County, was awarded two blue ribbons as first awards tor total news coverage and for agricultural news, at the sixth annual Newspaper Institute, at the State College. Rutgers University. New Bruswick. There were only four possible awards—first page, editorial Page, nrtis mvrragr and agricultural nn:s—and the honor of bringing two of the four blue ribbons to Cape May County was a matter of general comment on the part of the 1 dfi newspaper men and women who attended the two-day Institute. The judging was done by Elmo S. Watson, of Chicago, editor of a trade journal which reaches practically every newspaper office in the United States. Mr. Watson commented on the excellent quality of all the newspapers of the State, saying that they were far above the average in the rest of the United States, and this fact made the honor of carrying off first place in the two classes all the greater. In the class of agricultural news the TIMES, published in one of the smallest towns, and in the smallest Cotinry (in point of population) in the State, was in competition with such great newspapers as the S'mart Ervning Sms. the Trenton Times and the Camden Courier, three large dailies which feature agricultural news once a week. In the class of first page display, there were three awards and five honorable mentions, and in (he-e five mentions, the TIMES and its sister newspapers, the SEVEN MILE BEACH REPORTER and the PORT NORRIS ADVERTISER were included. It is but natural that the publishers of the TIMES and its companion newspapers take a justifiable pride in their achievement in producing for the people of Cape May County and of Cumberland County the outstanding newspapers of a State noted for its excellent press. The copies entered in the competition were not specially edited for this purpose, but were just average issues such as are produced every week in the year. I-ast year second place xxas given the TIMES for its news coverage, and the winning of the award in this class, by an entirely different and disinterested judge, indicates that the TIMES has not only kept pace with the other newspapers in the State, but has passed them in this particular department— the most important, after all. for the reader. In the TIMES you get "all the news all the time." This slogan was adopted by us years ago. and Monday again proved that we are living up to our slogan. THE PUBLISHERS.

Senator had some very Impression* of Sea Isle, ••arlter than most of his hearers, which he related to the amusement of his auditors and -aid that the most that be held against Sea Isle people was that they did not appreciate wha" hey had. At thi* point Mr. Ackley said he was the author of the bill under which Cape May County was conducting it* publicity campaign and he favored the enactment of a measure to permit the State of New Jersey to appropriate money for an advertising campaign to sell New Jersey to the world, counties and municipalities to be permitted to expend money to advertise their own local advantage-. and he urged that ail Chamber* of Commerce and civic bodies get back of such a measure and its success would be assured. It would be worth mil-
