Neither team was able to score until the last few minutes, when a pass from Davis to Eachus on Sea Isle's 25 yard line resulted In a touchdown. cancelled by Middle Townah'p High School. This break in the relationship of the two High Schools includes all sports. The difficulty between the institutions centers around the eligibility of Doughty as a player on the Middle Township High School football team. There is a ruling that any athlete Is ineligible after participating four years in a sport. Doughty has participated four years in track athletics, but only three years in football playing. Wildwood contends that Doughty's four years in track athletics, makes him Ineligible as a football player. Middle maintains that the years he has participated in other sports docs not enter into the question of his eligibility, the years he has played football being the only thing po he taken Into, consideration.

The beginning of the second quarter saw Wildwood marching down the field and on the yard line Cordouff intercepted Pa* With this ''break" 6— Isle tightened and the quarter was largely a punting duel. Neither team was able to score although the Jackets seemed a little stronger at this point of the game. Both teams showed real "fighting spirit.'' Sea Isle with their line strengthened by fresh men and the brief rest, kicked to Wildwood's 40 yard line. The Jackets were forced to kick, however, and Sea Isle opened up an aerial attack, and making two nice gains of 16 yards and 10 yards. This -was the only time the ‘'Waves" threatened and only when they were in striking distance, did the Jackets hold. contest, with both «, ams battling for supremacy, brought the ball on Sea Isle's 40 yard line. The Jackets completed two nice pasnee and planted the ball on Sea Isle's 20 yard line. Taylor acting as "sleeper" completed a pass and scored the firs! touchdown. The try for point after touchdown was unsuccessful. lUvls kicked to Matotti on the 20 yard line and the Waves tried to gain ground with passes, but Baches intercepted one and carried -.he ball to Sea Isle's 3 Jwrd line. After two attempts he carried it over. He was un- : successful in the attempt tc add an extra point. The whistle blew, ending the game, as the. teams were lining up In mid-
