A tabulation made by the State Chamber of Commerce of motor vehicle laws ol each of the 48 Slates and the Provinces of Canads showed that New Jersey has the least liberal practice in either country. Ours Is the only State in which the reciprocity period la
confined to 15 days.
The reciprocity period is now unlimited In 17 States. In 3 States it covers 6 months. 14 Statas grant the privilege for 90 days. Motor Vehicle Commissioner Dill at first opposed changing the law in New Jersey . He was under the impression that the number of non-resident pleasure cars licensed in the State in 1926 was between 16.000 and 20.000. The number was found to be 7,360. Tuckahoe Firemen Plan Celebration Will Observe Anniversary In Fitting Manner
Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Department will celebrate the annlveraaiy of their organisation In a fitting way on Friday. November M. in Hagelgan'a Hall. A novel feature of the affair Is that instead of the Ladles' Auxiliary of the company preparing the feast for the celebraUon. the men will don the aprons and do the cooking. Much has been accomplished by the Fire Company, which la moderniy equipped. A new firehouse, up-to-date In every way. provided with a meeting room and ball and a kitchen, houses a *4500 combination chemical and pumper cqulppal with the newest In equipment. The company boasts of fifty member*, most of whom are active. That the members are well trained was proven by the manner in which they worked at the Ocean City fire In October, where much commendation was given their efforts. With the aid of the Ladii Auxiliary and the community, the company has been forging ahead in paying for their equipment, which will soon be free of debt. Since the advent of the Fir. Company Cape May Countians declare that "the Gateway to Cape May County" has uken on life.
