The people of Cape May « very enthusiastic over the ides of an arousing celebration of the “glorious Fourth of July.” Already W. E. Humphries, one of Philadelphia's decorators, U in the field, and has begun the decoration of the business and other leading ulnels, under the direction of the city Board of Trade. Already stretcher, of large flow ing flags intercepted by fan formed flags and knotted bunting are streaming in midair across our streets in such an attractive manner that It gives one good impression*. The dormant palrlolic feeling of ye days of yore isjUling the minds and hearts of our business men, so that many are beginning to deck and beautify their places of business in a roost attractive manner. This alone point* to the fact that our people are thoroughly determined lo make this Jbe greatest attempt of their lives and lo see to it that no resort along the coast shall outclass Cape May with a grand celebration. 1 he Cape May Yacht Club, under the direction of Chairman Gibbon of U»e regatta committee, are determined that their race on this great day shall he the greatest in the history of that noted club. The start will be made at Bchellenger's Landing at 2 P- m. and will be visible throughout the entire course of two anff one-half mHea. The base call game to be played on the diamond In the centre of the city by Cape May and DennisviHe will be no small feature of the afternoon’s pleasure. Thegsroewrill be called at (our o'clock. , . The morning will he largely taken up in song and speech making. These cxereiies will be held in the Savoy Carden Theatre, under canvas, at the comer of Beach avenue and How ard Ktreet (on the Stockton Hotel terrace.) The exerwees will begin 10 o'clock. Hon. Isaac T. MehoU W Bridgeton will make the speech of the day. E* Senator Nichols 'is an able speaker a wl will instruct as well as please bis hearers. There will be an abundant* of songs and choruses by live hundred trained voices. The singing will be under the direction of Sherman Sharp, the choirmaster of the First M. E.

The parade will be no small part of the day’s program. The process!on will form at Broadway and Beach ave. and will start at 8 o’clock in the evening. The line of march will be up Beach ave. to Pittsburg ave.' to the beautiful Hotel Cape May, out Pittsburg ave to Washington st., through the business st. to place of beginning. The procession will be composed of aojo persona in line of march, composed of the city officials, secret organisations, and business association*, followed by many citizen, and Cold Bpring Council, Jr. Order Mechanics ami a number of visiting tribes of Red Men. These will be followed by a long line of beautifully arranged floats depicting historic events associated with old Cape Nay. The Cape May Band, under the leadership of William Porter, will be: la line of march and contain thirty : piece., the greatest aggregate of players which baa ever takes part In any Fourth of July parade at Cape May.; Mr. Porter has made special efforts in order to gat this large number of musician* together.
