“Was It high Sunday
Yes, the 16th waa probably what *< nn “High Sunday." Thla mi that we have reached the blggee* Sunday of the season thus far, but next Sunday 23d will surely be found equal to It In the number of beach vial unless, of oouree, some defdor#ble weather conditions should cause Interuptlon of travel hither on Saturday. Everything being t i#votable, the third Sunday of big crowds should be accorded the grand old Cape May beech. Then wUl come an t-xodu* on Monday Slat, regardless of weather conditions, that shall look very much like a break In the hotel Nevertheless, -we shall see signs of good September business, such as wtl mean a comfortably full bouse, and highly profitable month. Let no one forget that everybody Is supposed to remember, that September is usually the most delightful month at the leashorc, and positively the finest
month for sea bathing.
Cape May la not given to big figre*. because Cape May writers and corrafrondeoU never exaggerate. So we keep within the truth In saying that about ten thousand different per sons sought the surf bath from our strand during the past three days. We Wish It were possible to pro vide s list of all the-pretty girt# seen
ten thousand of bathers.
Wouldn’t It be A grand sight to have them all pass a reviewing stand in procession on th* etranu. clad In the! varicolored and variegated style* oi bathing costumes, before the bath— not after. Who ever *aw a girt ap pear pretty, or commonly attractive upon coming out of the water?
