FrcsidcnUal 1’artj’s Dcpartarc. President Harrison left Cape May for probably the last time tbit yesterday morning. He rode in the same private ear of Sunt^ lisunard, which was attached to the 8 o'clock picas. He went direct to Washington. The other members of the family leave for their Creeeon visit on the nine o'clock express this morning, after having joyed a most pleasant sojourn at their Cape May PoInteottsgesinoeJuoe 30th, daring which time Mrs. Harrison hsa not been away from Cape May mi than twenty hours altogether. T President has spent alwut four weeks of that time here, and greatly enjoyed bis stay. Rev. Dr. Scott, Mr». liarriaon'a father, has woo many friends, and we hope the remainder of bis daya will be pleasant ones. He has been here since shoot the first of Jnly. McKee, the President's daughter, who la one of tbe most charming of ladies, has been here nearly all tbe tame, loeptlug two Weeks which she passed in Uoaton. New York and Mancbrater-by-the-Sea with her husband. Mr. McKee baa enjoyed about a month of pleasures of Cape May. during which time be has been very kind to tbe

paper men.

Mrs. Russell Harrison has been here for about a month, and her husband, probably two weeks of tbe time. Mrs. Dimmick, tbe agreeable niece of Mrs. Harrison, came with the latter and Mrs. McKee, and bae remained here all the time. The Presidential family has passed healthful and happy season, and ha> enjoyed all the pleasurea which could be enjoyed at any seaside resort. In their departure this morning Cape May bids them farewell with a sigh, and hopes that they may return to spend many seasons by the side of the rolling icean billow a. The first Pn.idrut to visit Capr May aas Franklin Pierre, who visited Hie Island in 1KSJ. Hr was welcomed by be City Council anil a public reception vas lichl. He raptured the bean, of the Capr May pnqdr of the time. Resit was of only a week s length it is difficult to obtain anything it the mere fact Hut br was hen-. Mr. Rucbauan paid quite an extended visit after tbe war, but was not at tbe Cape any time daring bis official term. Tbe Rev. M. Y. Ruchanan, a brother of tbe late President, who is over ninety, ■pends every aeasoo here in a cottage which be owns. The only thing remembered about Mr. Buchanan's visit Is s s regular attendant ol church while on bis sojourn. President Grant was a visitor for Hi different summers. He slopped at old Congress Hall (burned in 1878), whose proprietor was Col. J. F. Cake, then of Willard'a, in Washington. In 1869 wi Unoondlllonars first visit, and he can summer during bis last term, bringing one year his entire Cabinet with biro.
