Samuel Sutton, son of Joseph and Henrietta (Tomlin) Sutton, * Philadelphia, Sept. 24, 1806. Moved to Cape May, N. J., In 1819. They moved to Sangamon county, Illinois, iu 1838. Was married to Emclinc S. Tomlin, daughter of Almirin and Bboda Tomlin, Jan. 30, 1841. in Sangamon He moved in 1658 to Rock Creek, Menard county, where he remained until hi* death, which occurred July 16, 1691. He leaves a wife, two son*, who lived near by him, and a married daughter, Mrs. Henrietta P Scott, who reside* at Bloomington, 111., but who wi bedside daring bis last illness. He lived to a good old age. foil of strength and vigor of a man of 50 yotra, although ‘ waa 82 yean, 9 month* and 23 days old when he died. X. X.
