Owing to its location, between the sea and DcUwara bay, and in the ex ■ treme southern part of the State, Cape May enjoys s milder climite than other parts of New Jersey. Srait'oflioe is open twenty-fonr hoars each day and the latch string hangs * the ouUide. What more can we say. There has been great progress here within the last ten years. The Cape May hotels of to-day are for the most part so superior In equipment and management to those of ten yearn ago, that there Is no comparison. Nowhere are there better boteis In .point of equipment, convenience, or table. There have been many thousands of dollars Invested In the erection of new buildings, all of substantial and sightly character, not only in this city, hot In West Cape May / and Cape May Point. Business men generally, here, are on a far more substantial basis now than then, and there are everywhere, evidences of progress and and prosperity. Cape May do move, there is no mistake about it. There has been much money expended also within the oonnty in the peat decade. It Is now seventeen years since Cape May Point was first launched upon iU perilous voyage as a seaside resort. At that

time there was la this county but resort,—Cap# May City. Now there

eight, aeren besides our city, six built within the last tsn years, viz. Ocean City, Baa Isle City. Avalon, Anglesea, Holly Beich and Wildwood, which Ineluding Cape May Point, re presen! an expenditure of not lass than two millions of dollars and probably three millions. On the bay shore improvement is now starting up. In soother ten years who can guess what marveloas growth may visit our county. During tbs past ten years, IU permanent population has increased twenty per cent, and present prospects point to a much greater percentage of Increase in the tan yearn to come. There is evident- , ly nothing bat encouragement in these fact* for those Interested In Cape May
