SATURDAY, JULY 30, ISO TbomAA NmI, Jr., dcserres grcAt credit Mfthe r»m»rkAble energy wlilcb he bu ptubed forward pits tbe eolircniug of the Cape May sr More money is needed, if tbe plans for other enterprises and amusements ben are to mature. The Stab's efforts'-^ hare the P.ourth of July fluAncial statement appear In detail bare w ithin a day or two assisted Chairman Neal, Mr. Llveaey and Dr. Learning; each did well his part, and we trust that they bare now been able to folly take up the loose end and tie a knot in it securely. H. F. Bruner, of Colombia, Capt. George Stillman, of Philadelphia, II. C. Potter, New Yock, J. P. Morris, of Girard House, Philadelphia, are coming here next week and in company with Mr. J. 6. Bemon, the lone fisherman, of Cape May, will enjoy a fine time. A grand fishing trip is on the cards and a terrapin supper with all the accessories will be an event. These gentlemen arc all good fellows and know how to enjoy life and we wish them ail the joy and 1 happiness on their trip which can be obtalnm!. Great fishing incidents which may occur will surely be

corded in these oolumni.

Mr. John C. Moaser, a wealthy ms facturer of New York City, ia spending most of the rammer here, the guest of his friend, C. W. Uavemeyer, the well known sugar refiner, at bis cottage, IIughea street. Mr. Moaser is still quite a young man, handsome and gallant, and we see no good reason why beshouldn' strike a romance this summer here tha should change bla career of bachelorhood to one of happy wedded life'. Mr. Moaser is a great favorita with tbe Cape May girls, and bis services are indispensable at the hope and in tbe bath. He ia an accomplished banjoiat, and tha rollicking music he picks out conforms pleasingly with his own jolly good nature. In accordance with the suggeatiou of tbe Stab, Quldort permitted hla patrons to aecura chairs last Sunday in advance, so that moat of tbe acknowledged beaux of the Stockton suoeeded in reserving enough to seat their inamoratas in comfort and in good style. Some of the. level-beaded girls who are too wise to be “too cute lor anything" were prudent in time to take all the rest, and when the “down for the day" men made a rush and demand for these luxuries they were compiled to endure disappjintmeut, simply through misfortune and hot because of any fault of Ibclre. We anticipate a similar scramble tomorrow and while again llixukiug Charley for providing these men necessary adjuncts to the pleasure of the bathing hour, we call u|K>n all bla friends to heartily give him • Torec

Ciikeiu" for himself.

Rev. Mr. Hotcbkin, an Episcopal clergyman, from Bethlehem, Pa., and Mrs. Uotcbln are spending a vacation moat enjoyabiy at tbe Carlton House, Cape May Point. With Mr. and Mrs. Hotcbkin, from the nine suburb, are Mrs. L. II. Dade and Mrs. Nagle, all ladles of social and intellectual promineuc. Mrs. Dade, being a great-granddaughter of Sylvia Bplcer.of tbe historical family of Spicers who were the early settlers and large land holders in Cape May county, has become deeply intereated in the history of tbe family lately written by Rev. Daniel L. Hughes and published from week to week in the oolumna of the weekly Stab the I'Aat spring. Sylvia Bpieer m Rev.Samuel Jones, who preached Lower Dublin Baptist church at Bualletou for more than fifty years, and built tbe house in which Mrs.Dade Uvea.
