The I.idiea' Schubert Quartette hare created quite a furore and ererybody is anxious for an opportunity to bear them again. This will be given at Congress Hall to-morrow evening, at the grand concert and ball in farewell to
the talented ladies.
At the photographic establishment of the Messrs. A. P. A II. B. Todd, at tbs foot of Congress Hall lawn last evening three frames, hung on the outside containing tintypes, were carried away bodily, an exhibition of malicious mischief we are sorry to hear of. The Messrs. Todd are very Indignant and would like very much to know who Is the perpetrator. Last year a sign was stolen from them and they are beginning to form some decided opinions as
to who is the thief.

People at Cape Hay are very aceptleal about new-railroad to-Cape-May eu. terpriaea. Each attempt to build one has been accompanied by eo much humbug and baa developed eo mnch rascality, that the subject la tiresome and la usually met by scoffing and ridicule. But, some day the thing will be done. The troubled waters of roguery, chicanery, humbug, which have heretofore overwhelmed It, will be bridged and the Idea will reach maturity and will grow and thrive until we wake up aome morning to find Its tangible representative, a new railroad, at oar rery gates. It la inevitable, hut we fit not wise enough even to guess intelligently as to when this Idea may take life and shape. It his been an Idea long, ft will no doubt prove difficult for it to come out of the misty reelm of sprites into physics! life, but, tome day, aomc day, It will do It. T|>e field la regarded as a particularly profitable one. Henoe the efforta to secure new railroad
A Stab reporter recently asked Mr. George W. Boyd, assistant paaacngoi agent of the Pennsylvania Railroad," “What la the beat way In which to ad. vertiac Cape May?” and be replied, “By keeping tbe city In perfect order and furnishing numerous attractions and entertainments. These induce people to oome when other things would fsU. Each large hotel ehould have a eoutin uous round of amusements, as Congress Hall has, and the guests visiting them would Induce friends to come because of the enjoyment, and woeld surely return |u following scaeons just as guests return season after aiaaou to Congress Halt There would be greater inducemoots to familks to rent and occupy cottages also, because they would come furling assured of a pleasant tints dur-
ing tbelr stay.’*
It Is probable that Mr. Boyd, In bis capacity as an official of tbo Pennsylvania railroad, has done more advertising of Cape Msy than any other person and his opinion Is therefore valuable. The amusements attract must attention to resort and should be kept going. His opinion is also very flattering to Mrs. Cskc and to Congress Hall. Tbe popularity of tbe Hall, under past and present management by tbe Col. and Mrs. Cake Is probably largely ac -■tfojnusupr In the fact that there is al /aye eo much pleasure to be bad then —eo many and various entertainment*. The experience there should prove vxlu iblc to other hotels.
