Suit of National Council, Jr. O. u. c. M. Dismissed. Vice Chancellor Pitney last Saturday gave an order which dismisses the litigation of the National Connell. Jr. O. U. A. M, against the State Council of New Jersey. The suit Involved 120.000 and many Injunctions restraining State Secretary MIers. of Trenton, and other officers of the order from proceeding with the business of the organisation in New Jersey. This decision is of national Importance. as it sets a precedent for like suits which are now proceeding throughout the southern states and the District of Columbia. In these sections of the state council, like the New Jersey body, seceded from the national branch, and litigation was instituted to compel allegiance and force recognition of the governing authority of the national branch, and to insure the turning qver of all moneys collected ^ by the subordinate counclla.
