A new bell, for a long while a real need, has been bung in the belfry of Bead:* Memorial i’leabylerian Church. The old .'>00-pound bell was placed temporarily on the ground near the door. On Saturday night some person or persons unknown, evidently intent on a practical joke, dragged the old bell Vo a point directly in the gateway of the church, and to complete the "Airricade'’ pulled up the lamp poet and placed It aa a bar over the bell. Much indignation waa expreaard bytboM in chaise of the church.

At the popular bathing hour, between 11 and 1 o’clock, the visitors nearly all rre assembled on the beach either enjoying th^'bathing or watching the antics of I those in the edge of Neptune. Bathing j waa never better than now at Cape May, and there it no better bathing ground than Cape May poiaeeee*. Its beach is world famed because of the fast that it is as even as a billiard table top, and because it has a gradual descent into the ocean and no life lines are required as s means of safety. The beach U of a white bard sand which is elastic to the tread, and ia a most marvelous one from the fact that it is free Irom quicksands and from ugly gullies which exist st some'of our. rivsl resorts. -*w ; „
