The Republican votera of New Jersey and all who favor the eontinnanoe of the pollclea which have Reared proaperity at hoaia and houor abroad under the wise ' and patriotic administration!of Prealrteot McKinley and Prealdent Rooaevelt, are requested to join in the election of delegates to a State Convention to be held At the Taylor Opera House, In the City of Trenton on Tuesday .'May 10. 1801. at 18 o’clock noon, for the purpose of selecting four del•gal es-At-large and four alternate detegutea to the Republican National Convention, which will assemble at Chicago, Jnne 81. next, for the nomination of candidates for Prealdent and Vice-President, to be supported at the next general election. The basis of representation coder this calf will be one delegate for each 800 Re publican votes cast at the last gubernatorial election, and one delegate for each fraction thereof exceed lug 100 votes. The sAld delegates from each county will be apportioned among the several subdivisions of the counties by the respective county oommiitees- In counties when the nnmbei of wards and townships exceeds the allot ed number of delegates. It la suggested that fractional representation be gives, so that each ward and townshipmsy.be represented in the convention.
