Dobbins, Presiding Elder of the Camden District of the l5ew Jersey Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Chnrcb, has a squabble on hand because of the refusal of the congregation of the Absecon Methodist Episcopal Church to receive Rev. George Archer, lately of Cap* .May Court House, whom Bishop Merrill assigned to them ai the recent session of the conference at Trenton, and Bishop Merrill, It Is said, told a committee from the church that the appointment must The Absecon congregation wanted Rev. Dr. H. h\ Bolton of Wisconsin, who ia now supplying the pulpit at the First Methodist Episcopal Church, Trenton, daring the Illness of Rev. H. K. Uohlnson. The member* say they have no objection to Mr. Archer, but because Bishop Merrill refused to name tbs man they wanted they say they will not receive any other.
