Pa, during j the past season, came home on Tuesday last. Wm. Powell and wife of Goshen are' spending a few days with Mrs Powell’s parents in the village. Mrs. George Schellinger, who has been seriously ill for the past few weeks, is somewhat improved at this writing. I Several of our people spent Tuesday | at Seaville and enjoyed the commencement exercises, there having beetf a few I graduates from here.

It was necessary that the usual announcement should be made, but in what colored glove*! The harbinger was a man of resource. He went his rounds wearing one white glove and one black one.

CAPE MAY POINT. CAPE MAY POINT, Junes.—i a plain James Eldredge, of the U. S. Life Saving Station, has his family living w'tb him in the station, the crew being laid otT by .the Government during June July. J. Bolton Eldredgg took the first plunge in old Neptune. He says the water is all nght. A foil vote was cast at the local election here Tuesday, when Louis Heron, E. W. Springer and J. J. Kromer were chosen lighting commissioner- for the present season. The amount to be raised. $544-50, was also approved.

~ CORPSE FOUND IX BAY. Body of Unknown Man Discovered bj Fishermen at Town Bank. The body of an unknown man whs round Monday in Delaware Bay about three miles from Caps May, at Town Bank, by MU Taylor and son George, sturgeon fishermen. The body was tied to a stake about fifty feet from low water mark. Nothing bnt a penknife was found on the man It Is the supposition that he was one of the crew lost from a fishing-launch from Ocean City, Md., recently found overturn ed atsea. The Coroner's jury returned a verdict of accidental drowning.
