A further examination of tbe body has given rise to grave suspicion* on tbe part of local officials that Mr. Lbumis met with foul play. Tbe wound behind the right ear Is described aa being circular, large and dean, and It is thought that It was Inflicted before death. It la surmised that Mr. Lootuir' body fell Into the water near tbe Eddystone lighthouse. It la very strange that although a physician testified at the inquest that be believed the wounds In the head were inflicted before death, an open verdict was returned. Tbe autopsy on tbe body found two wound* which they believe were In-’ Dieted before deaft. One to a contused bruise below and behind the right ear. and the other a general braise on the left sidfc Dr. Webb, one of the medical men appointed to examine tbe body, testified that there waa a contused wound below and behind the right ear.
