The locomotive ia 23 feet long, weighs 40,000 pounds, sad la designed to draw a maximum load of 450,010 poonds at a maximum speed of 10 mile* an hour. The locomotive is named "Reading No l.”
Work Stopped. M. C. Swain, the owner of property at Columbia avenue and Queen street, sewed notice through his attorney upon the City of Cape May and Meesrr. Curtis & Church, the contractors who are building the intersecting eewer along Colombia avenue, forbidding either of them to treepass upon his lands, across which the sewer is supposed to be laid. Mtasr*. Curtis dc Church have heeded the notice and the work has temporarily been stopped.
