6Tne Prospect of Sport In Cape May | 'County. The open season tor game lb this State begins to-day, and tbe prospects for gocH sport are excellent. Rabbits are reported nnusnally plentiful, and tbe recent rains will make tbe bunting good. Qualls also are exceptionally numerous. In tbe middle of the county, from Seaville north, where the woods are most continuous, pheaaanta are reported plentiful. Tbe gray squirrel is seen In any group of woods, mud be appears to be in good condition and numerous. On tbe bay side about Green Creek and northward foxes are found more numerous than for several years. Tbe Stats bounty of 88 will stimulate bunting considerably, and the skins readily sell for IS for mounlinf. The closed season on deer will not expire until 1907, but tbe iucreasing the number by pladug imported animals at those points in this county where deer are found naturally, seems of doubtful success. Woodcock have afforded excellent sport, and during tbe few wet days have been found In as large numbers as ed. Though tbe open ber 1, they have not been actively hunted until this week. Black ducks are beginning to arrive and are expected here numerously as oold weather sdvancea. They are found chiefly in the open sounds, as tbe dry weather has dried up the inland

creeks.
